DeployMonkey ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at deploymonkey.com and app.deploymonkey.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our payment provider — we do not store credit card numbers.

Server Credentials

To connect your servers, you provide SSH credentials (IP address, username, password or private key). These are encrypted using AES-256 encryption at rest and are only used to manage your servers on your behalf.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve our platform, including pages visited, features used, and error logs. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track individual users across websites.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the DeployMonkey platform
  • To manage your servers and Odoo instances as instructed
  • To process billing and send invoices
  • To send transactional emails (deployment confirmations, alerts, etc.)
  • To improve our platform based on anonymized usage patterns

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. All sensitive credentials (SSH keys, passwords) are encrypted at rest using AES-256. We maintain regular backups of our platform data.

4. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data (with a 7-day cooloff period)
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion (following the 7-day cooloff), we permanently delete all personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
